Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) has appointed Mr Shaibu Haruna as Sales Director effective May 15, 2014.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Haruna worked with the MTN Ghana Group, where he led the delivery of successful distribution transformation programmes in Ghana and Uganda.
“He has over 16 years experience in sales and distribution spanning the brewing, automobile, financial services and the telecommunications industry", a statement issued in Accra said.
Mr Haruna would play a key role in helping the company achieve its vision of becoming the most vibrant and iconic business in Ghana, the statement added.
It said he would achieve this by building a formidable sales team that would consistently deliver best performances.
The statement added that “Shaibu has a long standing connection with the brewing industry having worked at Ghana Breweries Limited (before its merger with Guinness Ghana Limited) where he handled diverse sales roles, including Field Sales Manager, Sales Operations Manager and Regional Accounts Manager, between 1997 and 2002.”
Mr Haruna holds an MBA from the Leicester University Business School in the UK and Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School.
