An eleventh minute strike by visiting Sekondi Hasaacas’ Isaac Donkor powered his side to a 1-0 victory over Power FC in their Onetouch Premier League clash at the Ho Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Donkor beat an offside trap set by Power's defenders to fire a low grounder of a shot past Alfred Mills in goal for Power.
Power made all efforts to get the equalizer but they were denied the opportunity on several occasions by Hasaacas goalkeeper Joseph Addo, ably supported by his defenders.
After recess Power increased the pressure on Hasaacas but they were unable to change the score line and ended up losing their player, Thomas Mensah who was shown the red card for dangerous play.
In the dying minutes of the game, Power blew away great scoring chances with substitute Felix Nii Ayi Tetteh being the worst culprit as he continued to volley his attempts even when he was faced with only the Hasaacas goalie to beat.
The defenders of Hasaacas stood tall throughout the game with high concentration and held on to their lone goal till the final whistle.
