Joy FM reporter Benjamin Tetteh had the shock of his life when a menacing group of young men circled him while he was on the phone to provide updates on search operations on missing hiplife musician Castro.
A furious ringleader barked at him to cut the call, another grabbed his hands to twist it behind his back AND took his mobile phone.
Benjamin was at Peace Holiday Resort to report on developments after Hiplife sensation Castro went missing while jet-skIing at Ada. The musician who is good friend of Black stars captain and singer Asamoah Gyan, had gone to Ada to have a nice time.
Castro and a female companion Janet Bandu have been missing since Sunday 6th July.
But while on assignment, Benjamin, who was sitting by the fans was head butted and threatened with severe beating if he persisted in giving his Mid-day report.
He said it took the intervention of Baffour Gyan, a brother of Asamoah Gyan who took him from the threatening view of the small mob.
"Baffour Gyan showed a lot of maturity", he told Joy News.
The guys have been with Asamoah Gyan and his brother since Sunday. He said, he identified Asamoah Gyan's lawyer Kissi Agyabeng who also intervened in the matter.
The matter has since been reported to the Ada Police.
