Former Tema Youth coach Prince Owusu have been appointed as the new coach of Medeama SC to replace Carlos Roberto Paullete.
The young technical trainer is said to have signed a two-year deal with the club on Monday night after a meeting with club president Moses Armah.
Owusu, a former Ghana Under-20 assistant coach, has been tasked with building a crack squad ahead of the start of the new season.
The trainer is famed for honing talents of mushrooming players and will be expected to build a dynasty at the club.
Announcing the appointment Medeama chief Moses Armah told medeamasc.com: “In Prince Owusu, we have secured the services of one of the most exciting coaches in the game today.
“He is an expert in tapping young potentials and will be an added piece to the side.
“Tarkwa provides him with a fitting stage on which to write new chapters in the Medeama history.
“He’s got a track record littered with giving young players a break in the first team, who have gone on to be top players. Clearly that’s Medeama’s philosophy and we want him to build on that.
“Everyone is very excited about this new phase in the club’s history. We believe he will excel and wish him well in his new home.”
The Mauve and Yellows are undergoing massive restructuring which saw both the technical and management team disbanded.
Owusu is expected to travel to Tarkwa this week to begin pre-season with the side.
