The physically challenged have urged politicians to avoid utterances and actions that could plunge Ghana into chaos and political violence.
The group reminded Ghanaians that such situation in some parts of Africa degenerated into armed conflict and carnage.
Mr. Atakora-Asamoah Poku, vice president of the Association of the Physically Challenged in Ghana, made the appeal on behalf of the group, through the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi on Monday.
He said women and children, who were vulnerable, suffered most during political turmoil.
Mr Poku said, “Even though we are calling on all disabled persons in the country to register with the association, we do not want fresh political violence that can incapacitate people and force them to join us”.
He called on Ghanaians to collaborate efforts to prevent political violence since its socio-economic consequences could be enormous and grievous.
