The maiden Ghana Korea International Golf Championship is scheduled to tee off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, September 27.Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive of the Club told GNA Sports at Tema on Monday that 150 golfers have been invited to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition.He said the participants include 60 from the Tema Country Golf Club, 40 from Achimota Golf Club, 25 from the Celebrity Golf Club with 25 members coming from the Bok Nam Kim Golf Club.Mr Adablanu said the competition, which would be played in accordance with the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club and the rules of the Ghana Golf Association aims at strengthening the already existing cordial relations between Ghana and Korea.He said some of the golfers expected to play in the championship for the Tema Club include William Asiedu Yeboah, Kofi Gyau, Alex Fiagomey and Kwaku Okyere.Achimota Golf Club would also feature veteran golfers like Theophilus Gouvinus, Matthias Dorfe, Daniel List, Paul List, Robert Evans and Mike Aggrey.Mr G.C. Wei, Korean Ambassador to Ghana is expected to grace the occasion.Source: GNA
