The board of Asante Kotoko have ended the services of David Serebuo, the deputy Accra representative of the Kumasi-based club, following an alleged disagreement between him and the club’s acting general manager Opoku Nti.
It is alleged that Serebuo questioned the direction of the club and critically criticised Nti over his poor managerial skills which did not go down well with the general manager and reported the matter to the board for action.
The board after a meeting decided to axe Serebuo in the best interest of the club.
A letter sighted by Goal Ghana and signed by board chairman Paul Adu-Gyamfi reads: “We wish to inform you that the Board has decided to dispense with your services as the Deputy Accra representative of the club with immediate effect.
“Accordingly, you have no mandate to carry out any business at GFA [Ghana Football Association] on behalf of Kotoko.”
Goal understands that Eddie Ackah, who opted to leave the club some time ago, is likely to be appointed as the new deputy Accra representative for Kotoko.
