John 'Atintola the Beast' Napari is determined to be the first boxer to defeat Bukom Banku as the two seal a date for a clash later in October 3, 2014.
Both boxers in the company of their managers and officials of the Promotional outfit McDon, headlined a news conference at the Accra Stadium to sign for the big bout.
A military man, who looked rather calm, Napari, spotted a light brown casual military apparel and shot the first salvo, warning Bukom Banku to meet the required weight for Cruiserweight. " Banku must make sure that he stays within the weight requirements," he stated.
"This time around no such jokes will be tolerated. Banku you are not a heavyweight. We are fighting at Cruiserweight therefore the weight rules must be adhered to strictly," Napari told Bukom Banku who was seated on the far left of the table.
Napari who is a Corporal in the Ghana Army assured that he will live the true meaning of his nickname the beast.
"Banku talks too much and I will silence him on October 3," he added.
Bukom Banku on the other hand, promised to meet the weight requirements.
"I will make the 90.8 kg weight. I want Napari to know that the Soldier cannot defeat the Policeman. I am the Policeman and I will 'kill' Napari on the day ," Banku returned the salvo.
Banku who was spotting a white T-shirt and a pair of denim shorts said though he had respect for Napari, he will teach him a lesson.
"Your job is to go to war and mine is to box in the ring so clearly I am better than you. I will teach you a lesson after which you will be sacked from the army," Banku teased.
Bukom Banku (Brimah Kamoko) is undefeated in 27 bouts - his last conquest being Ayitey Powers whom he defeated before 15,000 fans at the Accra Stadium in a contest which was televised all over the continent via DSTV Super Sport.
Napari, who hails from Northern Ghana is also undefeated in 18 bouts.
The potential thriller on October 3, will also be staged at the Accra Stadium and is being promoted by McDon Promotions which is run by McDon Atotsogbe.
He assured his outfit will put together a great fight night.
