Ghana remain optimistic of playing in the quarter-finals of the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup as they chase qualification going into the last group games.
The Black Princesses kicked off the tournament in Canada with a 1-0 victory over the host nation which handed them a big opportunity of reaching the last eight from Group A.
However, a 3-0 defeat to Korea DPR has put the Black Princesses under pressure as their hopes of qualifying now rest on their result from the game against Finland in Moncton on Tuesday.
No hope is lost especially for Ghana captain, Grace Adams, who believes they can return to their promising start.
"We know that we've still got room for improvement and, above all, that we still have a chance of qualifying. So why would we be sad?" Adams said.
"We're trying to think about the next match, not the previous one. We have to look forwards, not backwards."
Adams' strong mentality is expected to trickle down the entire squad as Ghana look to advance beyond the group phase for the first time at the U-20 Women's World Cup after two failed attempts previously.
"To motivate my team-mates, I'm going to tell them we have to put any doubts behind us and go out there with more determination than ever before," the Ghana captain assured.
"Whatever happens, we mustn't let our heads drop," she stated.
