The Supreme Court on October 16, 2008, refused an application by the incarcerated ex-CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, Tsatsu Tsikata, as being without merit.
The Court, presided by Justice Sophia A.B. Akuffo failed to offer reasons for their decision but promised to do so in a week.
On October 24, 2008, the court duly filed its reasons for dismissing Tsatsu's application to have Justice Henrietta Abban of the Fast Track High Court's judgement that sent Tsatsu to prison quashed.
