Former Ghana Black Stars and Bayern Munich centre-back, Samuel Osei Kuffour has reignited Jonathan Mensah row, claiming the powerful young defender must soon exit the French Ligue 1 club, Evian and join any of the bigger European clubs.
The 24 year old Jonathan Mensah has been heavily linked with a move away from Evian in the close-season, with AS Monaco, Newcastle United, AS Roma and Manchester City all credited with an interest in the strong former Ashgold defender.
According to Sammy Kuffour, it will be in the best interest of Jonathan Mensah if he should join a bigger European club where his talent would be best showcased. Kuffour told sportscrusader.com that Jonathan Mensah has all the high qualities to fit into any big European club and has therefore advised that he should move on to gain better recognition in his playing career.
“I can imagine him, Jonathan Mensah at Bayern. He will be a great player if he should join Bayern. Teams like Dortmund, Manchester United, Manchester City, PSG, Madrid and Barcelona are all good places he can fit very well because of his great qualities” Kuffour told sportscrusader.com.
“If you can get a player of his class, you need to try it. I am sure: if he doesn’t go to Bayern, he will probably go to another big international club such as Real Madrid or Manchester United or Dortmund”
