The head coach of Tema Youth FC, Isaac Opeele Boateng, has resigned from the team.
According to the coach, he is now with Kumasi Asante Kotoko as an assistant to Coach Maurice Cooreman.
Speaking exclusively to Asempa Sports on Wednesday, Coach Opeele Boateng confirmed that he has signed a two year contract with Kotoko and has agreed to take up the job of an assistant coach.
However some Kotoko supporters believe coach Opeele cannot handle Kumasi Asante Kotoko while others think he is the right man for the job.
Coach Isaac Opeele Boateng took over as Head coach of Tema Youth last season after quitting Kessben FC where his side finished the league at the 9th position on the table with 40points.
Tema youth now lies at the 2nd position with 14 points after playing 7 matches in the 2008/2009 Glo Premier League while Kotoko is 5th with 12 points on the League log.
Coach Opeele Boateng is optimistic that his move to Kumasi Asante Kotoko will have a positive impact on the team despite his position as assistant Coach to Maurice Cooreman.
As at the time of filing this report the Chief Executive Officer of Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Parma told Asempa Sports Desk that, they had still not received official notification from Isaac Opeele Boateng but both parties had agreed verbally on Opeele Boateng’s resignation.
The C.E.O further stated that they had quickly organized themselves and were in search of a new coach.
