Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan will not be in action over the next seven days or more after picking up a knee injury last week.
The Ghanaian forward injured his knee in a league game against Al Dhafra last Friday after returning from an international assignment against Guinea at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
The former Sunderland goal poacher clashed with the opponents’ goalkeeper in the league game that affected his knee.
Al Ain team doctor Boban Dangobek has confirmed the injury, adding that the striker is undergoing radiation tests and will be out for approximately a week.
The Gulf Region side will be hoping that the Ghana international will recover in time to face Al Ahli next week.
