A four-team soccer tournament dubbed ‘Polymer-Liberty U-18 Tournament’ is scheduled to kick-off at the Liberty Carl-Rheindorf Park from Tuesday 27 to March 31.
The teams are the U-18 side of Liberty Professionals, Zaytuna FC U-18, Mandela U-18 all from Ghana and Liberty Sports Academy from Togo.
Eric Kwame Kportie, General Secretary of Liberty Professionals FC in a Press release copied to the GNA Sports said the tournament is being organized by Liberty Professionals in conjunction with Polymer Global Holdings of California – USA.
He said the tournament which is to be played in a league form has the following fixtures. On Tuesday, 27th March, Liberty’s-U-18 will face Zaytuna U-18 in the morning from 9-10.30 am with Mandela U-18 meeting Liberty Sports Academy from 10.40- 12.10.
On Wednesday, 28th March at 9 am, Zaytuna FC U-18 will clash against Liberty Sports Academy while Liberty’s U-18 face Mandela U-18 from 10.40 – 12.10.
Liberty’s U-18 will come face to face against their Togolese counterparts, Liberty Sports Academy on Thursday in the morning to be followed immediately by Zaytuna’s U-18 against Mandela U-18.
The teams would take a break on Friday while the third and fourth place match would come on in the morning of Saturday, 31st March with the final match taking place immediately to determine who wins the first and second positions of the tournament.
