The Kantanka Automobile Company has announced that its made - in - Ghana vehicles with the brand name 'Kantanka' will hit the streets next year January, if the Ghana Standards Authority immediately gives the green light.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Kantanka Automobile, Kwadwo Safo Junior on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Thursday revealed that the Kantanka Assembly plant, which is as sophisticated as any automobile plant in the world, would be turning out between 80 and 200 four-wheel sports utility vehicles and pickups on a monthly basis for a start.
According to him, the numbers are expected as demand also increases adding that the company will also offer after sales services.
Kwadwo Safo Junior however, indicated that “we have gone through all the necessary procedures to have our vehicles registered and so I can assure Ghanaians that when the vehicles hit the streets, anyone can purchase the type of cars they desire”.
Over the years, the Apostle Safo technology centre has collaborated with other educational institutions such as Kumasi Polytechnic and University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) among others to train students and prepare them for the job market. Currently, the centre is giving free training to 550 Ghanaians.
In another development, Kwadwo Safo Jnr has been named as Brand Ambassador for the 2014 Grand Sales slated for the Trade Fair Centre, Accra from December 15 to 24.
He is also the Brand Ambassador for the Made in Ghana Fair, set to take place at the same venue and time.
