2016 Presidential candidate of the NPP has received megaphones from the Canada Branch of the party after its leaders paid the flagbearer a visit in Accra.
Nana Addo who was in Canada along with his running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia received a delegation including the Branch Chairman, Kwame Abrefah.
The six-member delegation was led by Christian Akyempon, 1st Vice-Chairman of the Branch and also Chairman of the Branch’s Toronto Chapter. Others included Dr. David Boadi, Chairman of the Calgary Chapter, and Nana Duah, Chairman of the Branch Council of Elders. The delegation also included Edwin Abakah Williams, Canada’s Representative on International Branches’ Working Group, Nana Asare, a Patron from the Toronto Chapter and Frank Asiedu Bekoe, a key Member of the Vancouver Chapter.
The delegation told the flagbearer that the Canada Branch is currently experiencing unprecedented unity of purpose and enthusiasm. They expressed their determination to do what it believes can propel the party to achieve its key objective; an emphatic win next year.
The delegation had earlier met the National Chairman Paul Afoko, the General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong, and other National Executives at the Party’s National Headquarters, to congratulate them on their election to lead the Party. The delegation said that it trusts that the current NPP National Executive Committee, with unity of purpose, will lead the party to victory in 2016.
The delegation also met the Party’s International Affairs Director, Charles Owiredu and the Party’s Leader in Parliament, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu.
The Canada Branch gave a formal invitation to Nana Akufo-Addo to visit Canada again, before the 2016 elections.
