Ghana’s discerning radio JOY 99.7FM will this week air a special programme looking into the African economy and the global recession from South Africa as part of its coverage of the 19th World Economic Forum on Africa from 10th – 12th June 2009 in Cape Town. This forms part of the station’s strategy to avail Ghanaian listeners a professional perspective of all important happenings affecting Ghana and Africa.The 19th World Economic Forum on Africa will provide an important platform for world leaders to address the global and regional implications of the credit crisis and develop a new roadmap for Africa’s future. Discussion will focus on the impact of the crisis on Africa’s traditional drivers of growth including foreign capital flows, demand for oil and commodities, and infrastructure development.
