The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners, Ibrahim Mahama, over the weekend donated food items and undisclosed amount of cash to the Muslim and Christian communities within the Greater Accra Region and its environs.
The donations were made at separate ceremonies by Mr. Mahama and his team, to the National Chief Imam, Sheik Osmanu Nuhu Sharabutu; St. James Catholic Church-Osu, Christ the King Church and individual households.
They included 5,000 bags of rice, 12,000 bottles of cooking oil and 20,000 cans of mackerel.
They are expected to be distributed to about 10,000 households in deprived communities in the region.
This is expected to support the vulnerable who continue to struggle following the coronavirus pandemic, even after the restriction on movements imposed on four cities has been lifted.
The recipients expressed their gratitude to Mr. Mahama for his timely intervention with his donations.
