Auto Parts Limited (APL)-Nissan Ghana has donated a Nissan Hardbody Pick up 4x4 single cabin to the Covid-19 National Committee.
This was done in a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House as part of APL’s contribution to efforts aimed at combating the pandemic.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Managing Director of APL-Nissan Ghana Subhi Accad said his organization is ready to respond to the President’s declaration of “A whole Ghana Approach” to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, adding that, this was also “a call to duty; a duty to ourselves, a duty to our country and a duty to humanity.”
He hoped that his organisation’s contribution would go a long way in helping win the war against the pandemic, expressing the hope that it will “assist the work of the COVID-19 Board of Trustees as we join efforts to fight the Coronavirus.”
He also saluted the frontline workers for their steady efforts which are bringing good results so far.
Chairperson of the National Covid-19 Trust Fund, Sophia Akufo, thanked the organisation for the noble gesture.
She expressed confidence that efforts like this would be pivotal in securing victory in the fight against the deadly pandemic.
She also assured the donors that, items donated would be used judiciously.
