Daughter of the Director of Ghana Institute of Languages, who lost her mother in alleged medical negligence case at Ridge Hospital, has said she was earnestly looking forward to meeting the deceased again.
According to the 15-year-old, her mother before leaving for her surgery on Sunday promised to return.
“My mum hugged me and my two other siblings and said she was going to return but that never happened,” she told JoyNews’ Maxwell Agbagba.
Kafui Kuto's death has been attributed to alleged negligence on the part of a doctor at the Ridge Hospital.
According to the husband of the deceased, his wife was fine until doctors gave her a wrong medication, which eventually led to her death.
The 15-year-old disclosed that she never learnt about the incident until her friend called to confirm the death of her mother.
She said after her father confirmed her worst fear it was difficult not to cry in front of her younger siblings.
Meanwhile, Medical Director at Ridge Hospital, Dr Emmanuel Srofenyoh, has told Joy News that preliminary investigations have begun to ascertain the exact course of death.
He added that a committee of enquiry will probably be set up to probe Mrs Kuto’s death.
