Wife of Nigerian musician Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, says her family did not have a smooth sail while dealing with coronavirus.
"I have suffered. I went through a lot of pain, I watched my family go through it...I need to let everybody known that Covid-19 is real," Lola Okoye said in a video posted on her Instagram page.
According to Lola, Covid-19 is not an illness she would wish on her enemy and it is time for people to take the needed health protocols seriously.
"We need to do better. We need to social distance better, sanitise, wash our hands all the time and just stay away from crowds. A lot of people are asymptomatic, they don't know it and spread it on."
This follows Peter Okoye's revelation that he together with his wife, daughter and two other staffs had tested positive for coronavirus.
According to him, the past weeks has been “hell” for him and his family while trying to cope and recover from the virus.
The former member of defunct group Psquare told his followers on Instagram that he felt he had brought the virus to his family adding that he felt responsible for their conditions.
He, however, praised his wife, Lola, for staying with their daughter who had tested positive even though she knew it would affect her.
Lola Okoye advised her followers to load up on vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin B, and zinc.
"The healing is slow but hopefully I will be 100% real soon. We need to beat this together. For those who lost loved ones, we pray for you too my heart bleeds for your loss," she captioned her post.
