A 20-year-old man, Samuel Asare is in police grips at Anum-Boso in the Asuogyamag District of the Eastern region after human parts were found in his room.
According to the Ghana Police Service, the suspect's father, Amoako Attah reported him after finding bones suspected to be human parts in his room.
Police followed up to the house and mounted a search in the suspect’s room.
According the police, decomposed bones suspected to be human skull, jaw and ribs were found and retrieved from the suspect room.
Samuel Asare was then arrested and sent to the police station.
Deputy Eastern regional Police PRO, Sargent Francis Gomado said the suspect who had been beaten up by his father and had sustained some injuries was sent to the Salvation Army Clinic where he was treated and discharged.
The bones have been deposited at the Peki Government Hospital Morgue for preservation.
Police say Samuel Asare is in custody but has refused to answer any question.
