President Nana Akufo-Addo says he was astonished by reports that suggested he was flown to the UK for Covid-19 treatment.
Dismissing the reports, Akufo-Addo insisted he was in the country during his 14-day quarantine working from the Presidential Villa of the Jubilee House.
The president completed his mandatory quarantine and resumed regular duties on Monday, July 20.
Speaking on the said false reports, Akufo-Addo noted “I was sitting in my room and I was told I was sitting in a plane that was heading for Oxford, and its trajectory plotted on a map. I was amazed but there it is, this is the Ghana in which we live, thank you.”
Akufo-Addo was made the remarks while interacting with members of the Vehicle and Asset Dealers Union of Ghana on Tuesday.
The meeting was held to discuss concerns raised by members of the union about the new Automobile Development Policy at the Jubilee House on Tuesday.
