First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has urged African countries to share data and experiences on their management of the coronavirus pandemic to enable the continent to better deal with the situation.
Receiving some Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) supplies from the Chinese government on Wednesday, Mrs Akufo-Addo was confident that should countries share information on the pandemic, the continent may end up using it as a catalyst in bringing development and positive social change to its people.
The items which included, 66000 nose masks, 240 thermometer guns and some other medical supplies, were presented to the first lady on behalf of the First Lady of China H. E Peng Liyuan, by the Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Ghana Zhu Jing.

He said the purpose of the donation is to among others, strengthen the peaceful coexistence that exist between both countries.
Mrs Akufo-Addo noted, despite the harsh realities the pandemic noted that the gesture has shown proof of the warm relationship between Ghana and China.

She further entreated everyone to continue to observe the protocols associated with Covid-19 and stays safe since the virus is no respector of persons, nations or continents.
