Former Black Stars defender Mohammed Gargo is the latest to advise Thomas Partey on his future, having been a subject of intense transfer speculation this summer.
Partey has been linked with a move away from Atletico Madrid with Arsenal reportedly being his next destination. This has been a subject of discussion in the West African country with people with football knowledge sharing their thought.
Former Black Stars midfielder, Derrick Boateng, in an interview with Joy FM, kicked against the move, saying Arsenal is a downgrade to Atletico Madrid.
He was backed by Black Stars coach, Charles Akonnor, who advised Partey to stay in Spain because of Champions League football.
However, Gargo, 45, has advised Partey to make the move. He believes Arsenal will make Partey a better player.

“I think he should move,” he told Citi FM.
“I think it’s going to make him a quicker player than he is today.
“Who would want to move from class three to class two instead of going to class four?
“Moving to Arsenal is going to give him another opportunity to take him a step forward, it is going to build him up and make him a better player for the Black Stars.
“So for me, if I were to be him, I would take this offer,” he concluded.
The midfielder has been targeted by Arsenal, who are willing to bring him to the Emirates this transfer window after failing to sign him last summer. However, Atletico Madrid are determined to keep their key player.
The Spanish club have already rejected two bids – a player plus cash (reportedly 25 million euros) – from Arsenal. Atletico have referred to the player’s 50 million euros buyout clause.
