The Volta Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Makafui Kofi Woanyah, has kicked started a tour to meet with polling station executives and electoral area coordinators in his jurisdiction ahead of the 8th general elections.
The tour would afford him the opportunity to familiarize, interact, and energize the executives towards victory in the December polls.
His first point of call was the Hohoe Constituency where he met polling station executives and electoral area coordinators from the Gbi South and Alavanyo Zones.
Addressing the executives at separate meetings, Mr. Woanyah, gave an analysis of the NPP’s performance in the 2016 general elections in the Volta Region and lectured them on the roadmap outlined towards winning 35% votes for President Akufo-Addo and outright victory for the Parliamentary Candidate, John Peter Amewu.
He, therefore, urged them to intensify the house-to-house campaign and work in solidarity with volunteer groups to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP in the 2020 general elections.
Mr. Woanyah made cash donations to three deserving polling stations for their selfless service to the party. He also made available some funds to support the funeral of the Kpeme Electoral Area Coordinator who lost his life through a motor accident.
The Volta Regional NPP Organizer, Emmanuel Korsi Bodja, lauded the executives for making the party visible in their polling stations, which indicates their readiness to annex the Hohoe parliamentary seat from the National Democratic Congress.
The Hohoe Constituency NPP Chairman, Anthony Kondobrey, appreciated efforts by the regional executives to engage with executives at the grassroots and assured of his commitment towards delivering the Hohoe seat to the party.
The Regional NPP Women Organizer, Afi Rejoice Adzagbo, Regional Youth NPP Organizer Emmanuel Quarshie Kyekyenhene, Regional NPP Communications Director, Pope Yao Yevoo, and some party communicators accompanied Mr. Woanyah on the day’s tour which ended with a meeting with a volunteer group at Gbi Wegbe.
