The police this week went to the court on the blind side of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that was planning some demonstrations. In law, it is known as going to court ex-parte ie without the other party being part of it.
It is the same way the NDC or some individuals in the Santrofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi who are alleging that they have been disenfranchised in the December election in an unconstitutional manner and, therefore, are seeking to stop the processes that have gone on in Hohoe to have the election there declared as incomplete or not consistent with the law for as long as they have not been allowed to participate in the parliamentary election.
