Japanese striker, Jindo Morishita has set a target of scoring 10 goals for his new club, Ebusua Dwarfs. The forward, whose last football spell was with Zambian outfit, FC Muza signed for the The Crabs in a deal which will last till the end of the season.
The second round of the Ghana Premier League is gearing up to resume, and in an exclusive with Joy Sports’ George Addo Jnr, the forward indicated his desire to hit double figures for the Cape Coast-based-club.
“There is going to be 17 games within the second half. So 10 goals is my goal for now.”

The 25-year-old is however yet to receive his work permit since his arrival in the country, and he believes that piece of paper is his only boundary to making an impact in Ghana’s top flight.
“We need to figure out the work permit issues. I don’t know if that has come out yet, but if I have enough time, I’m very confident I’ll be able to contribute to the team.”
Jindo since his arrival in the country has already been in involved in a couple of training sessions with the Cape Coast boys. He has also taken part in a club friendly where he latched on to a through pass, rounded the goalkeeper and scored, to the cheers and admiration of team mates and fans gathered around.
The second half of the season has been scheduled to start on Saturday April 2 with Ebusua Dwarfs facing Elmina Sharks in an away fixture.
The current active top scorers in the league are Diawisie Taylor with 12 goals and Kwame Peprah with 9. Should things stay this way, and Jindo delivers on his promise, he could end the season as second top goal scorer, after only joining mid-season.
That will mark an historical output from the Japanese.
