The Association of Ghana Industries has added a layer of competitiveness to consumable products through the introduction of a health safety seal called the “Obaasima Seal”.
The relevance of this seal is to set out the nutritional benefits of certified consumable products for the Ghanaian, African and international market.
Chief Executive of AGI, Seth Twum Akwaboah said “this is so timely – considering the Continental Free Trade Agreement. With this seal, we are promoting safe and nutritious consumables from Ghana to the rest of the world market,” he stated.
The Vice President of the AGI, Humphery Ayim-Darke is confident that the Obaasima Seal will guarantee that food products with the said seal will fulfill certain nutrition criteria that includes needful information on minerals, vitamins and healthy levels of sugar and salt.

“The Companies with the Obaasima Seal are Yedent Agro Food Industries, Oxy Industries Limited, Mass Industries, Premium Foods Limited and Praise Exports”
