Former Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwah is urging the youth to exercise some level of restraints and be patient with the Akufo-Addo-led government since the country is still in competent hands.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo's government is doing everything possible to change the fortunes of the country by transforming the socio-economic architecture of Ghana.
This, he said will be done through the provision of jobs and social interventions for citizens.
His statement came at the back of the intended demonstration by the organizers of the "FixTheCountry" campaign.
He, therefore, urged the youth and social media activists to support the government to succeed in its quest.
"I am urging the youth to be steadfast, innovative and take advantage of the government's pro-youth policies and programmes. I know things are challenging but things will be better soon," he said.
Mr. Collins Amankwah also cautioned the youth not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to destabilise the peace of the country, but rather focus on providing alternative solutions to the challenges facing the state.
