The Joy FM Bridal Fair 2009 has officially opened at the International Conference Centre in Accra.
The annual programme has created a niche for itself as a one-stop shop for event planners and prospective couples planning wedding.
Seventy businesses ranging from bridal wear producers and marketers, culinary service providers and training institutions, bridal service providers, floral and general decors and accessories as well as financial service providers are taking part in the fair.
At the launching of the event on Thursday, CEO of Stratcom Africa, Ms Esther Cobbah, said this year’s edition presents unique opportunities for exhibitors and encouraged players in the industry to explore and integrate local fabrics into their designs and productions.
The Joy FM Bridal Fair which has been running since 2003 brings together the biggest collection of bridal service providers and products.
Since its maiden edition at the Golden Tulip Hotel, the programme has come to represent the essence of beauty in marriage and convenience in organisation, assuming also the industry’s enviable position as the single biggest bridal event in the country.
This year's fair is sponsored by Allure (Title Sponsor), Jandel, Coca Cola, Zain telecommunications and Quality Insurance Company.
Joy FM is also running most of its programmes - Cosmopolitan Mix, Drive Time on Joy and Open House Party - live from the Accra International Conference Centre. Favourite DJs Doreen Andoh, Bola Ray and DJ Black among a host of others, will be performing from the fair grounds.
The programme ends Sunday 28, 2009.
