President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr Akinwumi Adesina has confirmed his participation in an upcoming public lecture on transformational leadership in Africa.
Dr Adesina will be the Keynote Speaker at the event which is being organized by the Board of Intercessors for Africa (IFA) and Sundoulos Advanced Leadership Training (SALT) Institute.
The lecture which is themed “Integrity, Leadership, and Stewardship for National Transformation in Africa” is the third since its inception in 2019.
Other speakers for the 2021 event include Executive Director, Uganda National Roads Authority; Allen Catherine Kagina, and Development Economist, Stellenbosch University, South Africa; Dr. Nthabiseng Moleko.
The four-fold objectives of the IFA-SALT Institute public lecture series include;
- Present and clarify the need for transformational leadership in Africa based on Nehemiah’s redemptive ideological framework;
- Sensitize stakeholders on the significance of the Redemptive Ideology towards national/continental transformation;
- Present succinct and documented evidence of the need for deliberate, intentional and creative ideas, policies and systems for the desired transformation of the nations of Africa; and
- Identify opportunities and approaches for harnessing Africa’s massive God-given resources and the collective consciousness of the African peoples in pursuit of the requisite transformations.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the much-anticipated lecture will be held virtually on Saturday, August 28, 2021 between 2 pm and 4pm.
