A gang of robbers has reportedly attacked students, passengers and motorists, at Juaboso-Dangermu on the Akatiso- Bonsu Nkwanta road in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to victims, the gang was made of three men.
Sharing their ordeal with Adom News, the victims said they were robbed of their mobile phones, money and other valuable items.
“They took GH₵170 from me, they kicked me in the abdomen and demanded that I give them more. When I told them I had nothing left, they kept brandishing their weapons in my face, I was so scared,” a female victim of the incident narrated.
Another added, “They took all the money we had on us. They attacked any commuter on this stretch, including those who were going to their farms. There was this pickup that had students on board, they took money from all of them no matter how small it was.”
Two commercial vehicles, four motorbikes and two bicycles are said to have been attacked by the robbers.
According to the Western North Regional Correspondent, Augustine Boah, this is the second time a robbery attack has been recorded on the same stretch.
