The University of Ghana Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (UGIEP), implemented by Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) - Ghana in partnership with University of Ghana Institute of Applied Science and Technology ( IAST ) will tomorrow host a webinar on 'Advancing Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Job Creation : The Role of Higher Education'.
The webinar will bring together experts in academia and industry to share their perspectives on the fundamental pillars needed to drive innovation and entrepreneurship within the context of higher education and job creation.
Education has the power to shape the world by imparting knowledge that shapes the orientation and skill sets of the next generation who are expected to create profitable businesses to sustain national economies.
A panel will therefore explore the intersection between higher education, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a goal that seeks to answer the following questions including what is the role of higher education and higher educational institutions in innovation and entrepreneurship? and does Ghana’s current educational structure address the skills gaps and cater for future entrepreneurs and innovators?
The panelists will leverage on key enablers, institutional processes, capabilities, opportunities and share practical examples from other parts of the world to support their submissions and suggestions.
