Rapper, M.anifest has disagreed with the perception of some Ghanaians describing him as a snobbish person.
The ‘God MC’ debunked the accusation on Joy Entertainment’s Daybreak Hitz in response to artiste manager Mr Logic’s assertion that a section of the public believed that he is a “bluff”.
Admittedly, M.anifest confirmed his awareness of the rumour and described it as a perception from a minority fueled by prejudice.
In defence, the Madina patriot opined, “they make a decision based on a few things, it could be my last name…it could be their perceived alliance with somebody that they think I’m in a [competition with]…[they] might make certain decisions based on that and form a perception before they have any actual fact”.
Born Kwame Ametepe Tsikata, the rapper who mentioned that his surname could even account for the prejudice against him, noted that he couldn’t be bothered about the negative perception and accusation.
He said, “that is never going to be something I will ever have a worry about because, for a majority of people, this is not a prevailing thought about me”.
Thursday, November 18, saw the release of M.anifest’s much anticipated fifth studio album, Madina To the World (MTTU), a 15-track project inspired by the town he grew up in, Madina.
Fans have hailed the impeccable lyricist for a fantastic job done, stressing it was worth the wait.
