The maiden edition of the Appolonia Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony has been held at The Oxford in Appolonia City in Accra.
The event saw attendants such as the Appolonia City staff, residents of Appolonia City, and staff of companies like MainOne who have their data center in the industrial park of Appolonia City as well as some media presence.

The Christmas tree lighting ceremony is an event that brought the Appolonia City family (both existing and future clients) together.

The inspiration for this event came from the Rockefeller Centre Christmas tree lighting event- which happens every year in December to launch the festive season.

According to Bright Owusu-Amofah, one of the organisers, the maiden event was a good opportunity to have a little get-together and invite the residents of Appolonia City to meet and get to know their neighbours and also a great time to reflect upon how the year has been.

He added that “even though 2021 has been a challenging year, Appolonia City as a company and family has weathered the storm together.”
He also noted that next year, Appolonia City hopes to have an even bigger Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony which will be hosted at Adumuah Place- the brand new A-grade mixed-use office building which is being put up by WBHO- with a bigger tree.
