Musician Gyakie is now a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The singer born Jackline Acheampong now holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Taking to Instagram, Gyakie shared the news of her graduations with her followers.
“The sound has graduated 🎓💛,” she captioned her post.
She wore a suit that had her graduation kente sash draped over it. The inscription of her graduation cap read, “Psalm 91:1-8.”
The 22-year-old said goodbye to undergraduate studies after writing her final exam in September 2021.
In an interview that year Gyakie revealed that combining academic as and a music career was a tough job to accomplish.
She told JoyNews’ Becky that “I’m beginning to get extremely interested in the music. And so sometimes when I am studying, and I remember a song that I was about to finish, I will pause the studying and listen to the beat. But I tell myself to switch back to learning."
Although her passion is music Gyakie stated that at the time she needed to give her books more focus if she did not want her graduation to stall.
