Scores of passengers aboard a Metro Mass Transit Bus heading to Ho escaped unscathed after the vehicle caught fire halfway through the journey.

The incident is said to have happened near Tsito, a town in the Ho West District, on Saturday.

According to reports, the commercial bus conveying passengers from Kumasi developed some fault a few minutes before Tsito leading to the fire.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established. Firefighters were called to the scene, but the fire had already ravaged the bus before they got there.

Police in the area are yet to comment on the matter.
