Former 4x4 group member, Russell Edem Avornyo, popularly known as Coded revealed he never agreed to the breakup of the group.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he stated that he wasn't in agreement of the splitting of the 4X4 music group and wanted them to build up their brand up again so it would easier for them when they release single project.
“I didn’t second it because at that time I thought the group wasn’t doing so well and we needed to put our act together and then we push the brand to the top again before we decide to do our solo projects,” he said.
The ‘Edey Pain Dem’ hit-maker added that, both Fresh Prince and Captain Planet did not want to come back to the 4x4 music group, but continue with their single projects, which was against his best wishes.
“We had a meeting years back, I suggested that we should build back the brand up again but the two of them didn’t want that, they wanted to continue with their solo projects,” he averred.
4X4 was one of the most prolific music group in the Ghanaian music industry. It was made up of Captain Planet, Fresh Prince and Coded but it has been apart for some years now.
Meanwhile, Coded hinted that he has upcoming projects with ex-group member, Captain Planet.
This collaboration he claims will come as a shock to Ghanaians.
