A piece of unexpected news this week set the country in a frenzy. About 6000 students at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) were deferred for owing more than 70 per cent of school fees.
The School’s Management further revealed that some students invested their fees in ventures such as betting, buying vehicles for online ride-hailing services and bakery.
In view of that, JoyNews’ The Probe has tabled “Betting Odds: The Untold Story of KNUST’s Mass Deferment” for discussion.
