President Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians that his government will restore the economy to its thriving form.
The President said the current state of the economy is a temporary one. He is confident that the economy will bounce back strongly from the ravages of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has been exacerbated by the effects of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
However, this assurance has been met with skepticism. The critics contend that the economy is on the verge of collapse.
In this regard, the Business Edition of PM Express hosted experts to discuss how to get Ghana's economic recovery right.
The guests were: Deputy Minister of Finance, Abena Osei Asare, Economist at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), Professor Charles Acker and Director of Dalex Finance, Joe Jackson.
