Aviation Safety Inspectors, Samuel Zormelo and Malik Awudu, have assured Ghanaians of the safety and security of Ghana's aviation space.
Mr. Zormelo commended Ghana for its maximum aviation safety and security measures and stated that Ghana is on top of the chart in Africa as far as aviation safety and security are concerned.
He added that there is strict compliance to the regulations and laws by service providers and there are also regular audits to ensure high safety.
Malik explained that, according to researchers, the odds of having a plane crash is about one in every 1.2 million flights.
According to him, researchers have also proven that the odds of dying in a plane crash is only one in every 11 million flights which is even more assuring.
He explained that the advancement in education and technology has led to the enhancement of safety and security on the plane.
He continued that, Ghana in the past ten years has recorded only about 4 plane crashes which is regrettable but also encouraging as they are doing their best to attain the zero accident goal.
Mr. Zormelo explained that aviation safety basically entails the management of risks on the plane to prevent damage to humans and properties while the aviation security comprises all the measures and resources put in place to prevent unlawful interferences by passengers.
They spoke shortly about the upcoming launch of the Rebranding project happening on the 8th of December at 10am in the new building of the Ghana Civil Aviation.
