The newly elected National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says Ningo-Prampram MP campaigned for him in his bid to become the MP for Okere in 2008.
Mr. George Opare Addo said Sam Nartey George was one of his “boys boys” at the time.
Mr. Addo said for this reason, he is surprised by Sam George's conduct towards him during the recently held National Youth Organiser elections.
“A courageous person is not the one who shouts the loudest, but the one who acts. So I did well in my parliamentary elections in 2008. I did better than the candidate who contested in 2004.
“After which I became the MCE for Akuapim North and I recontested in 2012 and surprisingly in 2008, Sam George was one of the young guys who were following me.
“You can ask him. I am a bit older than him. He was with one of my cousins who were the boys boys who were supporting my campaign in my bid to go to Parliament,” he told host of Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen on Tuesday.
Mr Opare Addo said he is not a stranger in the NDC, thus no party member can intimidate him.
“I am not a stranger in the NDC. I am a royal and those who came into the part recently and feel they have arrived, they should take their time, because they came to meet us in it,” he added.
