Tokyo-based Ghanaian entrepreneur Opoku Oppong Kwabena, popularly known as Kobe, says he is pushing the Ghana music agenda in Tokyo.
Kobe who is the co-owner of R2 Supperclub and R3 Clublouge, all in Japan, said that he always plays Ghanaian music as part of his efforts of selling Ghanaian music to the other part of the world.
Speaking on Evibes with Becky, Kobe noted that the patrons of his club always after listening to Ghanaian music gain an interest in them.
“I have this event organised by my partner called Afro Caribbean night and we push Ghana music like crazy.
"We have been playing Black Sherrif, King Promise, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Samini, Shatta Wale and people are going crazy about it. Well are pushing Ghana music in Tokyo," he said
Kobe joined his father, Frank Anthony Amanfo in Japan some 15 years ago, and now they are business partners in the popular lounge and dining bar, R2 Supperclub, located in Roppongi, Tokyo.
The E-Vibes show strives to evoke memories through the setting of the interview and their rise, the memories they made on their way to the top with the hope that their unique stories will help shape the younger generation.
