The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Spangles (Accessories), Angela Nelson says effective communication and honesty can be helpful in building customers’ trust.
In an interview with Asieduwaa Akumia on Prime Morning Monday, the Madam Nelson indicated that truthfulness helps in bonding one’s relationship with customers across the globe.
According to her, the act has been a major contributory factor to the growth of her business in the past 5 years.
"It’s all about communication, and one thing I enjoy doing apart from designing my products is actually interacting with clients. So, when they approach me on social media, I tell them the truth. You have to do it to be able to build trust with your clients; I don’t joke with that because that’s how I built the relationship with my clients," she explained.
As to how she deals with customers who reject offers, she said, "I check in with them from time to time just to keep my brand top of mind so they don’t forget about me."
She noted that social media has been a great impact on her business, saying "it’s been a blessing."
When asked how she promotes her products on social media, she explained that it is about consistency and innovation.
The former marketer and IT officer to a company, averred that it was a tough decision to resign and start her own business.
Madam Angela Nelson urged upcoming business owners to first identify their passion, practice their talent, and sometimes follow their instincts.
As part of her desire to give back to society, she is open to helping train underprivileged people who are interested in making accessories.
