The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr Pius Enam Hadzide has announced that the Ho Youth Resource Centre will be completed and ready for use in June 2023.
Mr Hadzide made the announcement when he led a team to pay a working visit to the Centre in Adaklu Tsrefe in the Adaklu District.
The visit was to engage the contractor and consultant in charge of the project to inspect the progress of work and identify the fastest way the second phase of the project can be completed on time.

Mr Hadzide disclosed that the entire project is 55 per cent complete and the remaining 45 per cent would be completed by June this year.
He noted that the phase two of the project is about 96% complete, adding that the Centre will soon be fully ready for use.
He said government is constructing 10 youth centres across the country.
"These facilities when completed will host a FIFA standard football pitch, athletic track, a handball pitch among others,” Mr Hadzide said.

The CEO noted that the initial 5000-seating capacity project when completed could accommodate more than that.
Mr Hadzide expressed satisfaction at the progress made so far and urged the contractors to adequately address all challenges associated with the project.
He reiterated government's commitment to making sure that all projects planned for the purpose are completed within the scheduled time.
He commended the Chiefs of Adaklu Tsrefe and Ho for their efforts and support in making sure that the project becomes successful.

Managing Director of Wilkado Construction Limited, Togbe Gbeworza II, in an interview with the media, said “for now, we are able to overcome the initial challenges of clearing the area and the muddy nature of the area.”
He noted that barring any hitches, the second phase of the project will be completed by June ending this year [2023] and handed over to the National Youth Authority.
"For now, they are doing the external works and about to start the fence wall and have come far and with the chiefs solidly behind us over the years, we are grateful and at this point, we crave nothing but your understanding and support," Torgbui Gbeworza II said.
The project which started in 2018 had to be abandoned due to lack of funds.
