A Communications for Social Change Advocate, Togbe Kwasinyi Kakaklolo Agyeman V has called for a national dialogue on time management.
Speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, he said it is long overdue for the issue to be brought to the front burner.
According to him, reaching a consensus in enacting policies would assist in inculcating the spirit of punctuality among Ghanaians.
"We need to show leadership and engage the entire Ghanaian citizenry that we see this as a national issue. And once we all come to that realization, we’ll embrace it and work at it.
“Central of them will be the government, policymakers, and the entire Ghanaian society. We need to sit down and come out with a workable plan. If it is necessary to bring some legislation in order to make this work then we should embrace it,” he said on Thursday.
Togbe Kwasinyi Kakaklolo Agyeman V said after the dialogue, there will be the need for a rigorous education campaign.
“We’ll need ambassadors who will mount platforms and spread the word. In our school setting, when students are late they are punished. However, it will be critical that we go beyond that. So that they are trained to inculcate this in them for them to consider time as life,” he noted.
