Although NaaNa Blu puts smiles on the faces of a lot of people with her comedy skits, there are others who find some of her videos offensive.
According to her manager, Stephen Mensah, the singer sometimes gets attacked for content that is rather meant to invoke humour in people.
Stephen told Kwame Dadzie in an interview on Joy FM’s Twitter Spaces on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 that there was an instance when people got angry with her for saying guys born on a certain day do not like bathing.
“Sometimes people come at her. Because she does comedy and all that sometimes the comedy does not sit well with some people,” he said.
“I remember one time when she said that some people born on some days don’t like bathing. People took it wrongly and dealt with her,” Stephen added.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of QUOPHIMENS Music said because of this, he pays attention to how NaaNa responds to such issues on social media.
Stephen noted that because NaaNa’s brand is young he does not want her to be involved in issues that will plunge her into unnecessary controversies.
NaaNa Blu is a singer known for songs like ‘Sugarcane’, ‘You Dey Do Yourself’, ‘You Go Miss Me’, ‘Ohia’, ‘Kwame Ato’, among others.
Aside from her singing prowess, NaaNa has gained admiration on social media for her comic abilities, especially with the series about her fictional boyfriend Kwame Ato.
She has currently released a new song titled ‘Cartoon’.
