The Internationally Monetary Fund (IMF) on Wednesday, May 17 finally approved Ghana’s Programme request seeking for a $3 billion Balance of Payment support to stabilise the economy.
The $3 billion programme aims to support Ghana’s economic reform program over the next three years.
The IMF has since suggested measures the government could implement to boost revenue mobilisation.
The National Democratic Congress on Saturday, May 13 held its primaries across the country in a bid to elect Presidential and Parliamentary candidates.
At the end of the contest, certified results by the Electoral Commission (EC) showed that former President John Mahama emerged as the winner of the flagbearership race.
Also, some incumbent MPs lost their seat to their contenders with the majority retaining them.
