Ghana international Joseph Paintsil was twice on the scoresheet as Genk defeated Club Brugge over the weekend to go within just a point of winning the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
The 25-year-old scored his 16th and 17th goals of the season for the Belgian outfit as their bid to become league champions continued.
Paintsil opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the game to give Genk the lead away from but they were pegged back in the 64th minute.
Genk restored their lead with nine minutes to go before full-time before Paintsil grabbed his second of the day with a brilliant finish.
The two goals over the weekend mean the Black Stars winger is now Genk's top-scorer in the Belgian league this season, surpassing Paul Onuachu's tally of 16 goals.
Genk will face Royals Antwerp in the final game of the season in a game that could decide the winner of the league with a place in next season's Champions League up for grabs.
